<p>
 Sample of the epidermal layer of an onion root. The inner layer of the onion was extracted and the epidermal layer was peeled and placed on a slide. The sample was interesting to me since the cells lining the epidermal wall of various plants are usually large and tightly packed. The sample was collected from an organic onion grown in my backyard.
