I was really interested in how a peel of a red Granny-Smith apple would look under the microscope. I wasn’t expecting the image to be so interesting! I peeled an apple that I had, dried the peel, placed it on a paper slide, and observed in with the foldscope. The first time I saw a lot of small water bubbles, which made me realize I hadn’t dried it well enough. The second time I saw this really interesting image:) I wanted to examine this sample because I love apples and was curious how it would look.
