  This is a red rose petal I found while walking on campus. I was curious to examine the flower petal this time since I did a rosebush leaf in my last post. I was pleased to see that the quality of the picture came out much better this time. I was interested in seeing the structure of the petal up close which I was able to clearly see with the foldscope. I prepared this slide by placing a ripped rose petal in between two dampened slides and pressing them firmly together.
