Today I made a new discovery. While selecting the broodstock of Clarias gariepinus for artificial reproduction, I noticed the development of a new algae on the surface of the rearing tank. I took a sample of this seaweed and mounted it on the slide. The seaweed sample was too thick and did not allow light to pass through. To my surprise I saw bdelloids moving. By observing carefully I realized they were eating phytoplankton, represented by dots. To feed, They open their mouths wide and suck deeply.
Really nature is wonderful! Here is the vidéo : https://youtube.com/shorts/2Ptot8y-WMw?feature=share
