I analyzed an Argentine ant underneath my fold scope. However, when I initially began analyzing my ant under the scope I was unaware what kind of ant it was, it was only until I was able to see it up close was I able to properly identify this ant as an Argentine ant. I was able to find a table from the Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve that provided me with the identifying data needed to recognize this ant as an Argentine ant. Argentine ants are actually quite common to the Stanford area and are often found near crowded trails, which would make sense due to the fact that I found it right outside of the STLC.
This is a movie of my ant under the foldscope: IMG_1855.MOV
