Cover slip Methods:
I prepared a makeshift wet mount slide with a spacer. I used three pieces of tape to block in three sides of a square to serve as the spacer and the drop of water is placed at the center of the square. I cut out a square of plastic slightly larger than the space between the tape and used two more pieces of tape to hold it down on the slide. (this works well enough but the the water does spill out occasionally)
The sample I looked at was some moss I found in my backyard. I scraped it off of the step I found it on and soaked it in some distilled water.
Moss sample Observations:
Here are a couple videos of what I found in the sample. It seems to be some kind of worm that anchors itself to the slide. If anyone can help with the identification I would greatly appreciate it!
