I am Dr. Mooventhan Palanisamy, currently serving as a Senior Scientist (Agricultural Extension) in the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), India.

Trichogramma japonicum is a minute wasp or parasitoid which lays around 1 lakh to 1.2 lakh eggs during its life cycle. It is the best biological method of control for rice stem borer which is the most common pest found in paddy.
