One day workshop on Assembly and usage of Foldscope was conducted for 42 Government Autonomous college students (6 students from each college) of VSK Govt College, Vizag, PR Govt. College, Kakinada, Govt. College for Women , Guntur, DKW Govt. College for Women , Nellore, Govt. College for Men , Kadapa, Govt. College, Ananthapur, Silver Jubilee Govt. College, Kurnool at Silver Jubilee Govt. College, Kurnool,  Andhra Pradesh on 24.5.18 to create awareness among the students on Foldscope.

The workshop was organised by Dr. Tulasi, Department of Zoology from Govt. College for Women , Guntur and Sri. Pradeep , Department of Biotechmology from Govt. College for Men , Srikakulam

Students were excited and observed various things like joggery, parthenium pollen, yogurt, Gram staining, blood smear, plankton and cell division in onion root tip. We spent on from 10 AM to 8 PM enjoying the innovation.

Students were asked to submit their learning after the workshop to make sure that the objective of the workshop is achieved and they prepared creative charts /posters and presented their learning and excitement in very innovative and creative way.

The workshop ignited the spark among students and many strongly wished to buy a Foldscope.  We are really waiting for the day that each Biology book should have a Foldscope as last page to generate curiosity among young minds.
