Marimo balls are a decorative growth form of a green algae; I ripped a little off one and sandwiched it between a coverslip and slide (both glass) with a drop of water.
One of the most challenging aspects of using the foldscope for me so far has been maintaining focus while taking pictures, but using my phone’s 10 second timer feature seems to help a lot.
