Conidia of Tricladium indicum Tricladium indicum Sati & Tiwari
These Conidia are hyaline, branched, unique tetra radiate. Main axis 300-400 µm long and 6.5-8.5 µm wide 20-24 septate and producing slightly constricted arms, 150-225 µm long and 5-6.5 µm wide and attached with main axis by a constriction (narrow an isthmus), 16-20 septate.
This species was isolated as an endophyte from the living roots of Querecus floribunda collected from Nainital, Kumaun Himalaya, India. Earlier this species was recovered as new to science from submerged pine needles by Sati & Tiwari (1992). However at present it is being reported to occur on healthy roots of a forest plant Q. floribunda as an endophyte for the first time.
