Have you ever wondered if pollen comes in different shapes according to what plant it’s from? At least with the pollen from these flowers they were all a certain oval shape, though some were bigger and some were smaller. I started the procedure by getting a slide ready and walked outside to see what was blooming in our yard. I used a Q-tip and lightly touched the place where the pollen was. I then tapped the pollen on my slide and looked at it under my foldscope. I would not recommend using a Q-tip because the fuzz gets all over the slide as shown in photo #3. I would recommend directly tapping the pollen on the slide from the flower itself.
