Media Research Forum, Madurai launched the Foldscope project and conducted a one day workshop exclusively for Government School Teachers and Students on 23rd June 2018 at Govt. High School, Aanaiyur, Madurai. 15 teachers and 60 children participated in the workshop. First we gave one – on – one training to the trainers – Two teachers, Four children and 3 volunteers on 11.06.2018, 13.06.2018, 20.06.2018 and 21.06.2018. Then the teachers were trained in the workshop for 1). Assembling the Foldscope, 2). Using the Foldscope, 3). Making their own slides. The response from the teachers and the children is overwhelming.
