A plethora Foldscope images from holiday items!
Mistletoe: Placed a leaf from a Mistletoe plant with the Low Mag Lens into a paper slide.
Pine Needle: Plucked and placed Christmas tree pine needles into the slide and took an image with the condenser lens.
Coffee: Scraped dried coffee off of the drip bin from my coffee machine.
Cranberry: Low and high mag lens images of a sliced, thin sample of cranberry skin.
Wrapping Paper: Tore off a tiny piece of gold and red striped, shiny wrapping paper. Its very interesting that the red “diamond” patterns aren’t visible to the naked eye. Maybe its an artifact form the printing rollers.
