 This is a leaf from a rose shrub.  As you can see, there are lines going across the leaf.   The leaf looks like it has somewhat of a bumpy texture, but when I felt it, it was fairly smooth.  A lot of insects love to eat leaves.  The rose shrub also has thorns on its stem as a self-defense measure.  Hope you found this interesting!
