How do the cells of the leaves of a plant differ from the cells that make up the flower? How are the cells arranged differently in these different structures? I took samples of leaves and flowers and then examined them underneath the foldoscope to see how they differed
The cells in this flower appear longer and are stacked in lengthwise forming what looks like thin lines. There is also a larger vein running through the flower.
The cells in the leaf of the plant appear to be a lot more circular. They are arranged in small clumps instead of lines. It also looks like you can see darks masses in the center of the cells which could be the nuclei.
