We took a scraping from a fresh ginkgo leaf. We tried to get it as thin as possible. We were surprised to find that the tissue isn’t all green but white/clear and green. It’s actually yellow/green rather than dark green. I’m using the Moto Z2 to take the images and it’s not very easy to get the whole image into focus because of the phone design. It took us a good 5 minutes to get this into focus.
We were able to zoom in a bit and noticed the red and blue spots, which were very surprising.
It took a lot of patience but we were able to zoom in and get this image of the single red dot and blue dots. It would be great to know what we are looking at, right now we are spending a lot of time noticing and wondering about what we see until we get a phone with a more friendly camera.
