The foldscope aided microscopical studies were carried over in Passiflora foetida. In the present study, we have taken stem anatomy, trichome and pollen morphology using saffranin stain.
Introduction
Passiflora foetida belongs to Passifloraceae family P. foetida is able to trap insects on its bracts so it is called as Protocarnivorous plant The stems are thin and wiry, covered with minute sticky yellow hairs and leaves are three- to five-lobed and viscid- hairy . The flowers are white to pale cream coloured Attractive blooming flower
