Integrated Rural Technology Centre has organised an awareness programme on foldscope for Ummini High School students. The targeted group included a mixed population of 4
5 students from various classes that are class 5 to class 9. We have introduced foldscope and shown some slides of zooplankton and phytoplankton to them. They were very much interested and asked that to check the well in the school compound. We have observed that too.
The class was a successful one in such a way that they started to ask so many questions regarding microorganisms in their drinking water, useful and pathogenic microbes, remedies to overcome microbial attack etc. And yeah! so many diverse questions also arisen by them.
