The Rhizopus species was isolated from a milk sample collected from a case of chronic mastitis. The Rhizopus species was found to be a co-pathogen with bacterial pathogens. The mould can invade the tissues with reduced immune mechanisms. (Sample collected and processed by Dr. Mamta Choudhary, Dr. P. Mooventhan & Ms. Yogita)
