I had no trouble assembling the Foldscope. It took me about 20 minutes. The observation of small objects isn’t easy, as I spend quite a lot of time looking for my sample, lost when I needed a hand to write. The zoom quality is good, if maybe not quite enough for my field of study (vegetal tissues). The possibility of using the phone camera is very interesting. I think the Folscope could easily be used with non-specialist public, with a goal of discovery. It could be used in floristic on the field, to replace a magnifying glass.
