Main

Mealybug2 These are female Mealybugs which lack wings and retain legs and can crawl for short distance. They feed on plant sap, normally in leaves, roots, bottoms of fruit. They attach themselves to the plant and secrete a powdery wax layer used for protection while they suck the plant juices. The infesting stages are both nymph and adult so this is a major pest causing damage to the mulberry crop.
