This is the picture of Canna Indica leaf under a foldscope at Ekya school J.P.Nagar Bengaluru . We took the leaf sample of this plant and placed it under a foldscope . Here is what we found.
Canna Indica , commonly known as the Indian shot is native to West indies , South-East Asia and Oceania. This plant comes from the Cannaceae family of plants growing to between 0.5 m and 2.5 m, depending on the variety. This plant is perennial and can be used for the treatment of industrial waste waters through wetlands. It is effective for the removal of high organic load, colour and chlorinated organic compounds produced by paper mill wastewater.
