Conducted Foldscope Orientation workshop today, on 03.11.18 for more than 300 students and 70 High School Teachers at 26th National Children’s Science Congress, District level Project Presentation at Guntur District. Hon’ble MLC, Ramakrishna garu, DEO, Ganga Bhavani garu graced the programme. Regional Joint Director of School Education, Sri. Srinivauslu Reddy garu and District Science Officer, Madhu garu helped me to conduct the workshop and gave an opportunity to interact with so many bubbling and creative students and their dedicated teachers.
Students and staff were exited to observe the internal structure of live organisms like ant, mosquito, head lice and also tried on pollen, cheek cells. Utilised the opportunity to create awareness among the young minds on health and hygiene while consuming street food.
Prepared kits with Foldscope, slides, light source and cello tape and presented to 2 Social Welfare Residential schools and 2 Government schools situated in Srisailam remote forest area. Students said they too want to become a scientist like Manuprakash to serve the people through scientific inventions
