Asian Citrus Psyllid Wing as seen using a Foldscope. Dr. Beth Grafton-Cardwell, Director of Lindcove Research & Extension Center UC Riverside, created a slide library for my students to use so they could identify the wing pattern of the Asian citrus psyllid.
The adult is about the size of a sesame seed. It is not native to California. Dr. Mark Hoddle, Director of Center for Invasive Species Research Department of Entomology, UC Riverside made a special video to help students learn more about invasive species. https://youtu.be/F5hvIrOgk-M
http://californiacitrusthreat.org/pest-disease This psyllid can carry HLB (Huanglongbing) a disease that kills citrus trees and has no cure.
