Hello, I am Rina Yadav, student of Me.E.C.L Secondary School Umiam from 10th standard.
On my visit to Panshet Dam, I found the insect near the pond and i took the leg of that particular insect and tried to observe it under a foldscope microscope along with the help of glass slide, coverslip and a tape.
In it, I was able to observe that the structure was like a long tube whose boundry is curled along with crab and dot like structure were present. Even the leg looked like a stick with hairs present in it which we usually called cilia. Its function is to protect and warm itself which provide signals to them to cope the changes in the environment.
