To 0.5 g of phenylhydrazine hydrochloride
add 0.1 gram of sodium acetate and ten drops of glacial acetic acid.
Add 5 mL of test solution to this mixture and heat under boiling water bath for about half an hour.
Cool the solution slowly and examine the crystals under a foldscope and microscope
