 This sample was collected from outside of our campus library in Princeton, NJ. The grass blade was thick, so in order to get the best image we arranged the slide so that the edge of the blade was visible. Silica  is what gives grass blades their characteristic ability to stand straight. Unfortunately, the resolution of this picture is not good enough to see it, but the process of getting the image as a whole was easy and intuitive.
