I found a cool plant near Princeton University in New Jersey. In my picture, I can identify cell walls throughout the leaf. Each little individual “pocket” of green are probably filled with chlorophyll, a pigment that aids in the absorption of light for photosynthesis! The position of the leaf allows me to see the outline of the plant from the stem to the broader main part of the leaf. There also seems to be “pockets” of clear/ uncolored structures, maybe holding water!
