Today, my lab class used Foldsopes to look at the flora close to us outside or Lewis Library in the middle of December. I chose a very small leaf to look at under th e foldscope. My picture shows the edge of the leaf. I think these foldscopes were pretty difficult to use and few of us could get high resolution, but this picture does clearly show a leaf. You can’t clearly see the veins or individual cells, but being able to see the curve of the shape is interesting.
