Foldscope was introduced to a group of postgraduates of Botany from the batch 1995-97.Among them were the professor of Botany at Mysore open university, Asst professor at Maharanis Science college for women,lecturer of Botany at government college, Headmaster at government school, Biology teachers,District officers and government employees. It was really a great platform to introduce the foldscope to them.None of them knew about this versatile, flexible, low cost oragami based paper microscope and were super excited to know more about it. They all had hands on experience of using the foldscopes, preparing the temporary slides using ultra transparent tape and enjoyed observing some temporary slides prepared on spot.
