Summer Camp _ part 5

Finally we looked at some random stuff,  like yellow-colored chalk:

On the last day, we put together some of the images that the students took with foldscopes and presented it to their parents and teachers:

Having foldscopes made this camp a lot more fun.  As I mentioned in my previous posts, in the beginning students were not so into “biology”,  but towards the end of our visit, they kept coming to us with new samples they were excited to magnify. Foldscopes definitely brought out the hidden biologist in some of the students. I hope they will continue exploring and have asked them to send me pictures of anything exciting they find.

Thank you Manu and the foldscope team for giving us the scopes and teaching me how to use them! The children were also very grateful to you.

I love the way you have structured your camp, spreading it over many days and topics. Congratulations and thanks for inspiring the rest of us who sometimes get to do this.
