  The Principal &amp; teachers of of Christ senior Secondary school gave us a warm welcome and introduced us in the assembly. There we explained about the Foldscope &amp; its uses, Assembly etc…. More than 1000 students benefited.
 </li>

 <li>
  10 students of our school with Principal Investigator D.Aravindaraja Trained the students of Meghalaya Christ Senior Secondary School students how to assemble the foldscope, collecting samples, viewing thro foldscope, capturing and recording images through phone etc…
 </li>
 <li>
  A field visit to Mauglynong Cleanest village of Asia, Living root bridge, Mawsmai cave, and Dawki to learn about the ecosystem, nature and environment and also collected some samples for our foldscope project
 </li>
 <li>
  Learnt about the Meghalayan Spider and captured some photographs of its web and its structure and collected dead spiders to view thro foldscope.
 </li>
 <li>
  Visited the DonBosco Museum to learn about Cultural Heritage of Seven sisters of NE India, Environment and Nature. We were excited and became happy at the end of doing the Skywalk.
 </li>
 <li>
  Science Teacher Mrs.Smitha of Christ Senior Secondary School, Meghalaya asked us to visit the Science labs ( Physics, chemistry, &amp; Botany)
 </li>
 <li>
  Principal of the school guided us to visit the near by space centre. He helped us a lot from the start of the day till our Departure.
 </li>
 <li>
  We conveyed our Heartfelt thanks to Him.

 The Director, Directorate of School Education, Puducherry directed the teachers of various government schools to initiate proposals to participate in this Foldscope Science Research Project, out of which our school Artchouna Soupraya Naikar, Government. Middle School, Mudaliarpet, Puducherry got shortlisted, and Mr.D.Aravindaraja, Teacher – Principal Investigator of the same school was nominated to attend the National Training on Foldscope Science Project at International Centre for Genetic Engineering And Biotechnology (ICGEB), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, near Jawaharlal Nehru University,  New Delhi, conducted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science &amp; Technology, Government of India.

 After the training being attended, Foldscope Project is to be successfully started up in Artchouna Soupraya Naikar, Govt. Middle School, Mudaliarpet, Puducherry with an inaugural function with the following agenda:

 More than 350 students, 20 Teachers, school staffs, Parents and Public participated and known the functions of Foldscope.

 Initially 20 students  were divided into 5 groups and they were taught by the Principal investigator regarding how to assemble the foldscope. within 30 Minutes of time they constructed 5 Foldscopes and Prepared their slides to view. They viewed Bone Marrow cell a Honeybee Wing and the Microorganisms present in water.
