 We can see the eyes prominently in this video. The embryo is moving so in the start of the video we can also see heart beating.

 Eyes are the first thing to be observerd, they are mezmerizing.


 The fries were of 72 hrs when observed.

 On 26th September 2018 we started our work under twinning program with North-Eastern Partner.

 On the first day in Bijni college we observed  the pre-prepared slides prepared in Mumbai through fold-scope.We explained the different ways of observation; such as using mobile phone camera and projecting the image using light source through foldscope.

 We also guided the JRF Ms. Smaranika Medhi to prepare slides and handle fold-scope. We collected leaves of bougainvillea, Onion and Hibiscus flowers from the campus of Bijni college  to prepare slides. We explained our methods of slide preparation and prepared slides of Stomata, Onion peel, Pollen of Hibiscus.

 On second day under Twinning Program, we explored the campus of Bijni college and collected botanical and water samples. the samples were of different kinds of leaves, flowers and water samples.

 We prepared slides of the collected samples and observed them under fold-scope. We observed different kind of stomata, pollen,  spirogyra and mosquito larvae. We also captured the images of the slides through foldscope.

 Later in  evening  we dissected freshwater fish
 
 Nandus nandus
 
 under the guidance of  Dr. Sewali Pathak and learned the how to fishes are classified in Taxonomic Classification. We prepared slides of different parts of body and observed them under foldscope.

 On third day we dissected four more freshwater fishes namely
 
 Epidocephalicthys gunthea, Psilorhyncus balitora, Acanthocobitis botia
 
 and
 
 Borioa darieo
 
 . We learned the taxonomic method of identification through foldscope. We prepared slides of different parts of body of fishes which included Mouth parts, Fins, Gills, and Scales. We observed all the slides through foldscope. We also prepared slides for the workshop which was to be conducted on 29th September 2018. We also made power point presentation for the workshop.

On  fourth day i.e. 29th September 2018 we conducted a National Workshop on “Foldscope: Assembly, Hands-on Training and Applications” in Basugaon Higher Secondary School, Chirang District, Assam.

 The workshop included an interactive talk with the students which was given by Dr. Sewali Pathak- Principal Investigator Assam and Junior Research  Fellow- Ms.Priti Dubey, Mumbai.

 This was followed by assembly of Foldscope by participants, and preparation of slides. The participants enthusiastically prepared slides of Betel leaf peel to observe stomata. The slides prepared by the participants were observed under foldscope.  We guided them about handling the foldscope and capturing images using mobile phone camera. Two foldscope were given to the school for future use.

 The session included assembly of foldscope and observation of pre-prepared slides.  Two foldscope were given to the Departments of Botany and Physics for future use.
