As a part of the DBT funded foldscope program a workshop has been conducted at the Government Secondary School, Nehru Nagar,Coimbatore, on “A Brief introduction to Foldscopy” (dated on 02/11/2018).The mission of the program was to familiarize foldscope among the school children and inspire them to explore the microscopic world around them with foldscope.  along with the staff members has been took part in the workshop, during which the students were made aware about the parts, assembly and advantages of foldscope with live demonstration. The students were provided with hands on experience of visualization of different samples, collected from the school premises, under the foldscope.

A brief introduction to foldscopy; Workshop at Govt. secondary school, Nehru nagar, Coimbatore.

The

 tube is the tube through which sperm from the
 
 pollen
 
 reaches the egg cell, and fertilizes the plant to form seeds. The
 
 pollen
 
 tube of most seed plants acts as a passageway. It transports sperm cells from the
 
 pollen
 
 grain, from the stigma (in flowering plants) to the ovules at the base of the pistil.

A two days workshop on implementation of foldscope to analyse the samples around and its advantages over conventional microscopes has been conducted for both the inmate students and students from other colleges, from behalf of the department of Biochemistry under the foldscope program, at Dr. N.G.P Arts and Science College, coimbatore.

A workshop
on Foldscopy has been conducted for the other college students at Dr.N.G.P.
Arts and science college, Coimbatore on 09/07/2019, as a part of the activities
under the DBT Foldscope Scheme, around 60 students from various colleges in and
around Coimbatore had taken part in the program.

Workshop On Foldscopy

A workshop on Foldscopy has been conducted for the Students of Chinniyampalayam Government Higher Secondary School and students from agricultural family background of Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College, on 12/07/2019 and 16/07/2019 respectively, as a part of popularization of Foldscope and its applications at various levels of the society, by the Dr.N.G.P.Arts and science college, Coimbatore, under the DBT Foldscope Scheme .
