As a part of the DBT funded foldscope program a workshop has been conducted at the Government Secondary School, Nehru Nagar,Coimbatore, on “A Brief introduction to Foldscopy” (dated on 02/11/2018).The mission of the program was to familiarize foldscope among the school children and inspire them to explore the microscopic world around them with foldscope. A sum of 60 students from class 6 th ,7 th and 8 th along with the staff members has been took part in the workshop, during which the students were made aware about the parts, assembly and advantages of foldscope with live demonstration. The students were provided with hands on experience of visualization of different samples, collected from the school premises, under the foldscope.
