Today, we saw the potato cells (peel, flesh) and similarly for tomato. An interesting fact is that we found some microplastics in some of the tomato samples (at least I did).

This is the potato flesh under the fold scope (an interesting thing is that we had to mash an already tiny sample to actually see). This was a 50x shot, which is pretty nice, although we have a few better one's ahead.
(shot on 140x, 340x respectively)
The cells were mostly transparent except for a few black shades along the surface. Thankfully, we did not find a microplastic in this.
Tomato Cell:
As you can see at the start of the post, the cells are visible, and the picture was taken from the tomato peel. I was unable to get anything for the tomato flesh (but hopefully will), but I did manage to get some more peel pictures.

This is near the sides of the tomato peel, where I found the microplastic (the black thread like thing).
Again, I'm finding nothing wrong with the fold scope (except for the occasional dead-end when you can't find anything), indeed, on the contrary, I found everything to be insanely fun (and soon you will find a post about p_l_e_!) (Hint: Think flower-y!)
