Today, we looked at potatoes and tomatoes under the foldscope. Initially, we started with the easier bit of the potato: the peel. We started with viewing it at 50X:

Later, we did the tough part: the potato flesh. Viewing the potato flesh was a lot more advanced because we couldn't see anything with the naked eye after rubbing the potato on the slide At 140X:

I could not get many good pictures of the flesh at 50X. The potato had small, round cells invisible to the naked eye. It looks quite different at each magnification.
