Earlier this year, I attended a free Foldscope Workshop at the Houston Health Museum. Needless to say, I left completely blown away by what the Foldscope could do and in turn, what kids could do with them! As a curriculum director, I could not wait to share what I had learned with my teachers. I created a training and hosted a virtual session for middle school science and STREAM teachers in our system. After the training, I mailed them the foldscopes and asked them to expore and do projects with their students. I promised to explore and use my foldscope as well, and this post is to say ANYONE can do it if I can! Part 1 shows my first go at choosing something to look at: a simple leaf from a plant we have in our office...
