Viewing the tomato under the foldscope was pretty similar to what you'd expect. The part which i viewed was yellow, basically the yellow part of the tomato flesh. The cells were very clearly visible where they also had thick cell walls and were tightly stacked together with an uneven shape. Another challenge i had to overcome, was to put the tomato sample perfectly on the slide. Because the tomato was so wet and slippery, it was relatively hard to correctly place it and view it on the slide. On top of that, we were supposed to take only the smallest bit of tomato (so that light can pass through easier) which made it even harder.
