Day 1 of Foldscope Workshop in Lodha Genius Programme at Ashoka University:

Sample Used: Fern Rhizome
The first sample we observed was the Fern Rhizome, pre-prepared on a glass slide. At 50x, the individual cells looked round in shape; but at higher magnifications, we observed the cell shape was more box-like.
Sample Used: Onion Peel
We prepared the slide and mounted it on the foldscope. This, in itself, was a learning experience. We found out that we had to make the sample as thin as possible, and we tried to get higher resolution. We could also see individual cells, and this was really intriguing to observe.
