Yesterday 9/6/26, in our microcosms class we examined the flesh and skin of a tomato.

We started off with the skin, peeling of as little and thin as we could and put it into the slide before covering it with tape.

and when i first saw it under a 50x lense it looked like fabric (at least it did to me).

Upon a closer inspection we saw the yellow cells. they looked closely packed and irregular in shape and to me personally it looked like bubble wrap. Bright Yellow Micro Bubble Wrap. while using the foldscope i realised i could see properly and better along the edges of the peel.

i am really starting to enjoy these sessions and wonder if i could check out skin as in maybe dry skin. Could someone recommend me a way to do that.
