I bought some baby cucumbers and sliced off a piece to observe under the foldscope. It's bright green, and there are many visible cells. I would also like to put a piece of a mature, fully grown cucumber under magnification. I'm interested in seeing if there is much of a physiological difference between the two. I believe that the baby cucumber likely has larger, more water-filled cells, as it was still in its growing phase.
