Differential Blood Staining

Methodology:

  • A thin smear of blood was made on a clean slide and air- dried completely.
  • Methanol was added and incubated at room temperature for 5 minutes.
  • Once all methanol evaporates, add giemsa stain and incubate for 20 minutes. Wash in slow running tap water.
  • Air dry the slide completely.
  • Observe the slides under 10X Microscope and Foldscope.
