Preparation of Bacterial Inoculum (preperation of the slide: 1. take a sterile slide and place a drop of bacterial inoculum on it at one side and using a sterile cover-slip spread the drop uniformly over the slide to produce a smear. 2.now gently heat the smear ( on a sprite lamp) to fix it on slide 3. now cut an exact piece of blotting paper and place it over the smear and then put a drop of safranin stain over it such that the whole smear is stained.4. now again heat the slide gently so that the stain is taken by the smear quickly 5.now remove the blotting paper and see the slide under Foldscope
