 My lips easily get dry, so I always carry around a lip balm. In my biology class, I had my lip balm in my pocket, and I wanted to see how the lip balm would look like under a microscope. I did not expect much because this was my first trial, but I was fascinated to find that a microscope made out of origami can show such detailed parts of the lip balm. This successful outcome gave me motivation to look at various types of object (not only cells and leaves but literally anything) under the foldscope.
