A workshop on “Foldscope as a Field Diagnostic Tool for animal Diseases” was organized by Animal Disease Research Centre, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana on 11.03.2019. The workshop was organized for dissemination of knowledge of use Foldscope to field Veterinarians, Scientists and Research scholars of the university. A total of 26 participants enrolled in the workshop, including field Veterinarians, Scientists and Research Scholars from the university.
Workshop began with the overview lecture about the foldscope and workshop by Dr. M.S. Bal, organizing Secretary followed by an enlightening lecture on Use of Foldscope as diagnostic tool for animal diseasesby Dr. Kuldip Gupta and ‘Smart phone as a smart diagnostic tool for animal parasitic diseases’ by Dr. L. D. Singla.
The practical session was conducted by Dr. Rashmi Sagar, Dr. Paramjit Kaur, Dr. Vishal Mahajan and Dr. M. S. Bal in which hands-on training regarding assembly, functioning and application of the foldscope as filed diagnostic tool was given to the participants.
