The pollen sample as seen under the Foldscope.
The plant from which the sample was taken. This pollen sample was taken from an Agapanthus africanus flower at May 10th 10:45 AM near Caltech’s Sherman Fairchild Library. The flower this sample was taken from is also shown. To collect the sample, pollen from a newly bloomed flower was brushed onto the slide. This is also evident in the image of the sample, as some of the pollen appears to have been mildly smeared in the process. #caltechbi1
