This is a sample of California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) pollen. One of the pictures is the plant the sample was taken from and the other picture is the pollen from one of the flowers under the foldscope. This sample was obtained at Caltech (Pasadena, California) on the north side of the olive walk near Lloyd House. The sample was obtained by plucking a flower and shaking the pollen out of it onto a microscope slide.
