Earlier, we captured images of tissues and cells of plants, animals and humans. Recently we explored a new way as application of “foldscope in pharmaceuticals” . We used it to study physical characteristics of various drugs. We captured images of macitentan drug. we could determine physical appearance of drug like shape, crystallinity and size with the help of foldscope. It was really new and exciting experience to explore use of foldscope in pharmaceutical field.
This image was captured from one plus 6 T mobile phone. The image was magnified various folds using mobile phone. We can observe crystals of different shapes and wider size range. The crystallinity of the drug was confirmed using instrumental analysis.
