Solid dispersion had a major drawback of converting into crystalline form on long term storage. We prepared solid dispersion of macitentan, and it was stored for 3 months. It showed conversion into crystalline form.
The results were confirmed with the help of powder XRD and differential scanning calorimetry analysis. Thus it helps in determining physical stability of the solid dispersion.
